China's Longest Crewed Space Mission Ends As Astronauts Return To Earth

Beijing: Three Chinese astronauts landed in northern China on Saturday after 183 days in space, said Broadcast State CCTV, ending the country’s longest spacecraft mission to date.

Shenzhou-13 Spacecraft is the latest mission in Beijing’s Drive to be the main space force that rival the United States, after landing an explorer on Mars and send a probe to the moon.

Two men and one woman – Zhai Zhigang, Ye Guangfu and Wang Yaping – landed safely in small capsules shortly before 10 o’clock Beijing, after six months of Tianhe’s core module from the Chinese Space Station.

“Shenzhou 13 recontraction capsules managed to land,” said Broadcaster State CCTV.

The recording of life from CCTV shows capsules landing in a cloud of dust, with a land crew that has maintained landing locations rushed in helicopters to reach capsules.

The land crew clapped when each astronauts took turns reporting that they “feel good.”

The trio was initially launched in Shenzhou-13 of the Gobi Desert in northwestern China last October, as the second of the four crew missions for 2021-2022 was sent to assemble the country’s first permanent space station – Tiangong, which means “Heavenly Palace.”

Wang became the first Chinese woman to Spacewalk last November, because she and her colleague Zhai installed space equipment for six hours.

Mission Commander Zhai, 55, is a former fighter pilot featuring China’s first spacewalk in 2008, while Ye was a pilot of the People’s Liberation Army.

Trio has completed two spacecraft, carry out various scientific experiments, arrange equipment and test technology for future construction during their time in orbit.

The astronauts spent the last few weeks tidying up and preparing cabin facilities and equipment for Shenzhou-14 crew entering, expected to be launched in the coming months.

Previous Chinese recording Missionflight length was determined by Shenzhou-12 mission last year, which lasted 92 days.

Space Race

The second largest economy in the world has placed billions into its military space program, hoping to have a permanent crew space station in 2022 and finally send humans to the moon.

The country has come a long way in catching up with the United States and Russia, the astronauts and cosmonauts have decades’ experience in space exploration.

But under the President of China XI Jinping the state plan for “Dream Space” which was promoted heavily included in the overdrive.

In addition to the space station, Beijing also plans to build a base on the moon, and the country’s national space administration said it was aimed at launching Marjros’s moon mission in 2029.

China has been excluded from the International Space Station since 2011, when the US prohibits NASA get involved with it.

While China did not plan to use the space station for global cooperation on the ISS scale, Beijing said it was open to foreign collaborations even though the scope of cooperation was unclear.
