India Joins Mitra Quad, Japan and South Korea for Sea Dragon Exercise

Sea Dragon is a US-led multi-national exercise designed to practice and discuss the anti-submarine war tactics to operate together in response to the challenges of traditional and non-traditional maritime security in the Indo-Pacific region.

New Delhi: India and its partners in a quadratic or quad security dialogue along with Canada and South Korea participated in the Multinational Training of Marine Dragon in Guam in the Western Pacific.

This exercise, mainly focusing on anti-submarine warfare (ASW) training, will involve more than 270 hours of training in flights and activities ranging from tracking the simulation target to track US naval submarines. Every event will be assessed and the country scored the highest points will receive a Naga Belt award.
