Mughal Gardens to Open For General Public From 12 February to 16 March, Entry Through Online Booking Only. Full Guidelines Here

New Delhi: Mughal Park will be open to the general public from Saturday, February 12 to Wednesday, March 16, a statement issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday. Visitors will be allowed to see the park only through booking online in advance, he said. Like the previous year, the Walk-in entry would not be available this year as Covid-19 prevention measures, the statement was added.

President of RAM Nath Kovind opened the annual ‘Udyanotsav’ Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Thursday. The main attraction of this year will be 11 tulip varieties which are expected to bloom in phase during February. The flower carpet in an extraordinary design will also be on display on the lawn, he said. The dominant color scheme of ornamental flowers this year is white, yellow, red and orange. A small cactus angle has also been landscaped along with some air purifiers in the garden.

Mughal Gardens timings, bookings and other guidelines for general public:

  1. The Mughal Gardens will remain open for the general public from February 12, 2022 to March 16, 2022 (except on Mondays which are maintenance days) between 1000 hrs to 1700 hrs, the statement said.
  2. Seven pre-booked hourly slots will be available between 1000 hrs and 1700 hours, it said, adding that last entry will be at 1600 hrs.
  3. Each slot can accommodate a maximum of 100 people.
  4. Visitors can carry mobiles phones during the visit, the statement said.
  5. However, they are requested not to bring any water bottles, briefcases, handbags/ladies purses, cameras, radios/transistors, boxes, umbrellas, arms and ammunitions and eatables, it said.
  6. Arrangements of hand sanitisers, drinking water, toilets, first aid/medical facility are provided at various points along the public route.
  7. During the tour, visitors have to follow COVID-19 protocols such as wearing of masks, maintaining social distance, among others, the statement said.
  8. They will have to undergo thermal screening at the entry point, it said, adding that no visitor will be allowed without mask.
  9. Entry and exit for all visitors will be from Gate no. 35 of the President’s Estate, close to where North Avenue meets Rashtrapati Bhavan.
